Miller Announces $1.5 M in Contract Announcements

Washington, DC – Congresswoman Candice Miller,
R-Harrison Township, today announced two military contracts have
been awarded in Michigan’s 10th District.
“Michigan needs to get its fair share of
defense contracts. We have a highly skilled workforce and the
technology necessary to compete for federal contracts,” Miller
said. “Congratulations to GMA Cover Corporation and GM GDLS Defense
Group LLC for their success in obtaining these defense contracts.
This is positive economic news for our community.”
The first contract, worth $202,111.30, is
awarded to GMA Cover Corporation for the procurement of cargo cover
kits for the Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles.
The second contract is being awarded to GM GDLS
Defense Group LLC in Shelby Township The contract is worth
$15,739,195, and provided additional funding for 3rd Year
Integrated Contractor Logistics Support.
Rep. Miller held a GSA seminar in November
designed to assist business in understanding how to navigate the
government contracting bureaucracy and obtain federal contracts.
This seminar attracted hundreds of local business owners.
