GMA COVER CORPORATION DEDICATES NEW PORT HURON, MICHIGAN
MANUFACTURING FACILITY

PORT HURON, Michigan --- GMA Cover Corp. dedicated its new 63,000
square foot manufacturing facility in a ceremony July 16, 2004 in
Port Huron, Michigan. GMA is a leading producer of fitted
camouflage systems for tactical vehicles. Products include fitted
cargo covers and cab tops for tactical vehicles as well as mobile
camouflage systems for wheeled and tracked vehicles.
Nearly 70 VIPs attended the dedication ceremony
including Don Brown from Congresswoman Candice Miller’s Office,
State Representative Lauren Hager and family, Mark Neal, the Mayor
of Port Huron and Thomas Hutka, the Port Huron City Manager.
Representatives from Stewart & Stevenson, Oshkosh Truck Corporation,
AM General Corp., and General Dynamics also attended. The
preeminent VIPs however were the two uniformed guests: Colonel
Robert Groller and Colonel Donald Kotchman. Groller is the Army’s
Project Manager for all Tactical Vehicles. Kotchman is the Project
Manager for Manned Ground Systems within the Army’s Future Combat
System program.
Brian Keller, the President of GMA Cover
Corporation, presided over the ceremony. Prior to the unveiling of
the dedication plaque, Don Brown presented Keller with a
Congressional Certificate commemorating the day and with an American
flag that was flown over the nation’s capital in Washington, D.C. in
honor of GMA.
During his remarks, Keller thanked everyone who
assisted in making the new facility a reality. In particular, he
praised the Economic Development Alliance for their assistance in
attaining the facility.
Keller commented that “as we gather to dedicate
this facility, it is imperative that we remember our front line
customers—the U.S. soldier. We all owe them a debt of gratitude and
at GMA we realize that without them, we have no purpose. We are
honored to know that one of the things that all of the deployed
soldiers have in common is that GMA products are deployed with them
in every location.”
GMA’s new manufacturing facility has allowed
them to double production capacity as well as double the size of
their work force. GMA is recognized as a leader in the design and
manufacture of signature management products for tactical vehicles.
